Pancake Party: Tuesday, February 21, 2023
Updated: Feb 20

Tuesday is the last day before the Lenten season starts.
Lent is a time many choose to walk with Jesus during his last 40 days on earth through fasting and intentional prayer.
So the day before we start our fasts, we party! Traditionally, "Shrove Tuesday" was the day to eat up all the sugar, butter, and flour in the house by making pastries and cakes and eating them before the fast began.
The men in our community are hosting the Shrove Tuesday celebration this year by cooking a pancake feast! We are so grate for their work in providing this incredible joy filled feast!
After we eat, we will receive our devotion books and ashes to begin our Lenten journey toward Easter. Please join us at 5:30 pm on Tuesday.
May this Abbey be a place of peace.
